The company I'm having Internship in, Rolls-Royce Oy Ab, is a company that produces azimuth thrusters for semi-submersible drilling rigs and drillships, tugs offshore vessels, icebreakers and polar research ships. I'm working with the Condition Monitoring System team. 

Each thruster has got a lot of sensors that are able to identify any damage, or any fault on the thruster, all the data from the sensors from each boat is transfered one time a day every day to the Condition Monitoring System (CMS) to check if is there any problem with the thruster. The software that runs on CMS can identify the problems by verifying if the data values don't exceed the limits, when that happens who's taking care of CMS is informed and he himself analyzes the raw data and try to figure out what the problem is.
